A family was evicted from this motel after reporting Bed Bugs!

KCTV5 News wrote an article about Jackie Trotter and her two daughters who were staying at the Value Place Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. After Trotter discovered bed bugs to immediately reported the incident to the front desk assuming she was going to get a different room. Instead following protocol the hotel kicked Trotter and her daughters out. Trotter, who had paid for her room for two weeks in advance, had no money for another hotel so the family had to stay with friends instead.

A spokesperson from the hotel responded to KCTV5 News saying that the biggest issue that hotel has is bedbugs, which are brought into hotels from other people. To avoid being sued the hotel made it protocol to evict whoever was staying in that room so the situation can be properly handled.

What do you think? Is it right for a hotel to evict someone when the bedbugs were there to begin with? Have you ever had a similar situation happen to you? Share your thoughts with us below.
