Farmington Hotel Taking Precautions After Bed Bug Scare

Keeping the bed bugs from biting has been a challenge at one Four Corners motel. A rash of customer complaints now has other hotels in the area taking action to keep the nighttime nibblers at bay.
A Days Inn near downtown Farmington became the spotlight of the problem a month ago when more than ten people complained of bites.
Now, another Farmington hotel taking is taking precautions to prevent the nighttime critters from taking over.
“We take this very seriously and that’s why we have an outside contractor and exterminator and they come out once a month and they do the spraying,” said Thilak Nandagopll of the Best Western hotel in Farmington.
The Best Western says the exterminators are a worthwhile investment. Management says they haven’t received any complaints from customers this year.
