Bed Bug Problem Growing In Franklin County

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A task force was unveiled Thursday by the Franklin County Board of Health in hopes of avoiding increasing cases of bed bugs.

According to the county, there have been two major bed bug infestations this year.

Bed bugs can fester for months inside homes and their bites leave marks, 10TV’s Andy Hirsch reported.

Exterminators call them hitchhikers since they usually climb up shoes and then climb off in a home.

Anyone who wakes up with bites should call an exterminator immediately because the critters can multiply by the hundreds in a short period of time.
