Ventura Motel found to have bed bugs Travelers Beach InnĀ  (805) 648-2557 929 E Thompson Blvd, Ventura, CA.

Five rooms at a Ventura motel on Thompson Boulevard were yellow-tagged this week for substandard housing violations, including bedbugs and water leaks, authorities said.

Bedbugs a health hazard?

Bedbugs a health hazard? There has not been a health related issue reported yet (that I know of and I’ve been following this, but the story below may change that.

A Toronto municipal councillor wants the city’s health board to take steps to declare the growing problem of bedbugs a “health hazard.”

Howard Moscoe said he will urge the board to ask the province to make the necessary changes under the provincial Health Act.

Bedbug plague

Convents and hostels along the route to the north-western Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela have become infested by bedbugs, spread by the more than 100,000 pilgrims who travel to the shrine of St James every year.

The insects, which bury themselves deep inside mattresses and pillows in the pilgrims’ quarters, are causing untold numbers of travellers to have sleepless nights and are responsible for many falling ill on the way.

Goucher residents bed bug infestation

On Sunday, September 28 all 94 Goucher residents of the Dulaney Valley Apartments were e-mailed and told they would not be moving into the unfinished Quarter, but would be moved out of their apartments immediately due to confirmed rumors of a bed bug infestation.

The infestation only added to the frustrations of Goucher DVA residents, many of whom did not wish to live off-campus in the first place.
